JUNE 3rd MEETING AND SHOP TOUR CONTRA COSTA FAIRGROUNDS 7 PM
HIGH AND MIDDLE SCHOOL WOODWORKING AWARDS PRESENTATION

The annual High and Middle Schools woodworking award program was again supported by the East Bay club the "Diablo Woodworkers" in June of 2010. Students from local High and Middle Schools submitted their projects. Judges from the Diablo Woodworkers evaluated all the submitted student work.

High and Middle School woodworking students received awards at the Diablo Woodworkers competition held at the Contra Costa County Fair Grounds in Antioch. The awards were gift certificates from a variety of woodworking stores, hardware stores and lumber suppliers.

Diablo Woodworkers, a non-fee class in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District's Adult Education program, raised money for awards. Woodworking Competition Committee member David Wittenbrock said that support came from members, wood artists, and the following local vendors. Be sure and thank them when you stop at their businesses.
