Diablo Woodworkers Annual Summer Social

September 15, 6-9 pm

Pleasant Hill Park, at Gregory Lane & Cleveland Road

After a COVID-induced year socializing in front of our computer monitors for the most part, face-to-reveling returns with our Annual Summer Social.

The club will sponsor a BBQ feast with meat [beef or chicken] and vegetarian entrées. We will also provide wine, beer, soft drinks and plenty of cold water. We need you to bring your favorite salad, side dish or dessert (enough for 6 people).

The cost is $20 per person. Mail checks, made out to the Diablo Woodworkers, to:

  • Scott E. Smith
  • 4412 Canoe Birch Court
  • Concord, CA 94521

We need your check, confirming your attendance and your entrée preference (beef, chicken or veggie) noted on the check, by September 1 at the latest. If you have any questions, call Scott at (925) 566-4569.

We’ll be following CDC guidelines. If you’ve had your COVID shots, masks aren’t required. If you haven’t been vaccinated, please wear a mask. We’ll be on the honor system.

Beads of Courage

Diablo Woodworkers is joining with Bay Area Woodturners Association in making boxes for seriously ill children.  The children receive beads for their treatments and collect them in the boxes.  If you want to make a box for this worthy program, contact the Diablo Woodworkers program coordinator, Dante Paulazzo, at dpaulazzo@comcast.net.  Dante is collecting complete boxes at his business, 2008 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Walnut Creek.  For more details, check the links below.
