Born and raised in the Bay Area I currently run and own my business “M Service, Inc.” in Walnut Creek. This is my other passion; I’m a car guy. I also raced cars for over ten years but that ended in 2012. I wanted to get back into my woodworking.Dante Paulazzo

I have a passion for fixing and building things, using tools and machinery and learning how things work. This has reflected in both my business and my woodworking.

I attended Acalanes H.S. in Lafayette, CA. where I took the elective class of woodshop all four years. I had a very good teacher who taught me safety and respect for the machines and tools. Each school year the project requirement skills grew: From basic cutting boards, to cabinet casework, to dressers with doors and drawers, all with joinery and glue construction. The plans were ordered from “American Furniture Design Co.” They were full size blue print plans, so I also learned how to read blueprints. The class grade requirement was taking your finished project to the County Fair. My junior year I won first prize for a dresser and my senior year I won first prize for a credenza. These accomplishments were probably the beginning of my desire to improve my skills and passion for woodworking even more.

I have a passion for the beauty and feel of wood and the endless things you can create. I also like to challenge myself to make something that will teach me a new skill or technique. I have made many pieces over the years from printed plans, from my own designs, and from seeing a picture and figuring out how to copy and build it.

Joining the Diablo Woodworkers group has been one of the best resources and teaching for my woodworking and of course, “Youtube”. I will continue to learn and grow as my woodworking continues.
